Wells Personal Defense

Greetings.  I am Martin Healey, Owner and Chief Instructor of Wells Personal Defense.

I have been involved in shooting sports since starting with an air rifle as a kid, and it is one of my passions.  I am a proud NRA life member, a member of the Minnesota Gun Owner's Civil Rights Alliance, and the Revolutionary War Veterans Association.  I am also the Range Officer for the Wells Rifle and Pistol Club, home of one of the best gun shows in the state of Minnesota.

I started this company because after taking classes for my own Carry Permit, I saw a need for better quality instruction.  As a full-time teacher, I thought I could fulfil this need, and embarked on the journey of becoming an NRA Certified Instructor, Range Safety Officer, and getting my program approved by the State of Minnesota BCA.

My classes are very friendly, conversational, and informative.  I love answering questions that I haven't thought of yet.  I differ from some other instructors as well in that it doesn't have to be my way.  Carrying a weapon is a very personal thing, and I want to guide you into making the best decision for you.
